Embodyment

Embodyment,

Growing up surrounded by toxic views of the female body, I have struggled with body image from a young age. This is something I have been exploring in this ongoing body of work ‘Embodyment’, battling the stereotype of what beauty is.

Embodyment takes a closer look at what holds us all together - our skin, the largest organ of our body. I have roughly 1.75 meters of skin surrounding me, holding me, covering me.

Through photography I get to meet strong, talented, beautiful women every day who inspire me to continue my journey to self love. Seeing how they’ve accepted their bodies, the strength they carry, and their pride. Bringing me a step closer to self acceptance and inspiring others.
